Why can't you do without car registration?

Buying a car is only half the battle. Without registration with the traffic police, the car legally remains a “ghost”: you will not be able to fully use it, sell it, or even refuel it at some gas stations. Registration of a vehicle (VV) is not a bureaucratic formality, but a guarantee of your rights as an owner and protection from fraud. In Russia, without registering with the traffic police, it is prohibited not only to drive, but also to simply store a car in public parking lots.
