• ⏳ Evacuation: if the car sits for more than 12 hours without payment, it will be taken to the impound lot (Article 27.13 of the Administrative Code). In regions this period can reach 24–48 hours.
• 💳 Night rate: from 21:00 to 08:00 on weekdays and around the clock on weekends there is no charge, but the 5-hour limit still applies.

2. Free parking at shopping centers and hypermarkets: hidden rules

4. Parking on the side of the road: when do they start fining you?

On unregulated roadsides (no signs 6.4) the car can stand no more than 5 days in a row. After this, the traffic police inspector has the right to issue a fine under Art. 12.19 Code of Administrative Offenses (RUB 1,500) or initiate evacuation. However, in practice, control is carried out only:

• 🚓 According to complaints from residents (if the car interferes with travel).
• 📹 In areas covered by video recording cameras (for example, on the Moscow Ring Road or outbound highways).
• 🏗️ At road work sites or near infrastructure facilities (schools, hospitals).
