Day 1: Sevastopol - starting point of the route

Sevastopol is an ideal place to start your trip: it has an airport, a railway station and a developed road network. If you fly or arrive by train, rent a car right in the city (we recommend trusted rental companies: RentMotors or LocalRent - they have no hidden mileage fees).

Must see:

  • 🏛️ Chersonese Tauride - an ancient city-museum. Parking near the entrance is paid (200₽/hour), but you can leave your car for free within a 10-minute walk along the street. Ancient, 23.
  • ⚓ Kornilov embankment and Monument to the Scuttled Ships. In the evening there are few tourists here, and the view of the bay is unforgettable.
  • 🚢 Submarine museum "Narodovets" - a unique exhibit, but it is better to book a ticket in advance for museum website.

Day 2: Balaclava and the way to Yalta via Laspi

The second day is dedicated the most picturesque section of the route — the road from Balaklava to Yalta through the village of Laspi. This path is 30 km longer than the route through the Baydar Valley, but they are waiting for you here panoramas that are worth traveling to Crimea for.

Route for the day:

  1. Balaclava (8:00–11:00): Inspect Genoese fortress Cembalo (ticket 300₽) and take a walk along the embankment. Parking at the fortress is paid (100₽/hour), but you can park for free on the street. Nazukina, 5 (10 min walk).
  2. Road to Laspi (11:00–13:00): Drive along the serpentine road R-29 (the asphalt is good, but there are a lot of sharp turns). Stop at the observation deck "Fortress Iphigenia" (coordinates: 44.4516° N, 33.6123° E).
  3. Laspi (13:00–15:00): Beach "Golden" with blue water and rocks. Parking is free, but spaces fill up quickly - arrive before 12:00.

Day 3: Yalta → Alupka → Simeiz → Kastropol

The third day is acquaintance with the southern coast of Crimea: palaces, botanical gardens and legendary Golitsyn trail. The route is designed to avoid traffic jams Yalta embankment (traffic along it is one-way, and the parking lots are occupied in the morning).

Top locations of the day:

Day 4: Great Crimean journey: Baydar Valley and Sarych

Fourth day - the most rich in natural beauties. Canyons, waterfalls and panoramas await you that you cannot see from the bus window. The route is laid along Baydar Valley — there are few tourists here, but the roads require attention: gravel sections and narrow bridges.

Key points:

  • 🌊 Wuchang-Su Waterfall - the highest in Crimea (98 m). The climb to it will take 40 minutes. Parking at the foot is free, but there is space for 10–15 cars.
  • 🏞️ Canyon "Black River" — a 3 km long route along the river. Admission is free, parking is 100₽.
  • 🏔️ Mount Cat (Sarych) — a viewing platform with a panorama of Yalta. The road to the top is unpaved, but passable for passenger cars (except on days after rain).
  • 🍄 Restaurant "Baydar Gate" - try it Crimean lamb (portion for two - 1,200₽). Parking for visitors is free.

Sixth day - immersion in the creative atmosphere of Feodosia, a city of artists and seascapes. The route is laid along coastal highway, where the sea appears around the bend every now and then. The road is good, but narrow - be careful when overtaking.

Main stops:

  • 🎨 Aivazovsky Art Gallery - the largest collection of works by the artist. Ticket 500₽, parking nearby (100₽/hour).
  • 🏖️ Golden Sand Beach - one of the few sandy beaches in Crimea. Parking 200₽/day.
