Installation of a decorative facade on a built-in dishwasher - a task faced by everyone who wants to harmoniously fit appliances into a kitchen set. Even if you bought a car with a mounting system "clip" or "latches", installation errors can lead to distortions, squeaks or even breakage of the opening mechanism. In this article we will analyze all the nuances: from the choice of fasteners to the final adjustment, so that the facade fits perfectly and lasts for years.

The peculiarity of working with dishwashers is their built-in design. Unlike washing machines, where the façade is often attached with self-tapping screws, specialized systems are used here: metal brackets, plastic guides or magnetic latches (in premium models Miele or Siemens). We will consider universal methods suitable for most brands - from budget Indesit and Candy to top Bosch Serie 8.

• 🔩 Self-tapping screws + brackets - a reliable option for heavy facades (from 6 kg). The brackets are attached to the body of the machine, and the facade is screwed with self-tapping screws. Requires precise marking. Applicable in Siemens SN678, Gorenje GS540.
• 🧲 Magnetic latches - a premium solution for seamless design. Magnets are built into the facade and body, ensuring smooth opening. Used in Miele G 7000, Liebherr.

How to determine which mount is right for your car? Look into operating instructions — the type of fastener and the maximum weight of the facade are indicated there. If the documentation is lost, inspect the body of the machine: the presence of metal hooks indicates a clip system, and holes for self-tapping screws indicate brackets.

Tools and materials: complete checklist before installation

Before you begin installation, prepare everything you need. The absence of even small things (for example, rubber gaskets) may cause vibration and noise when the machine is operating.

Phillips screwdriver (PH2) or screwdriver

Critical detail: if your facade is made of solid wood, pre-drill holes for screws with a drill bit 0.5 mm thinner than the diameter of the fastener. This will prevent the material from splitting.

Step-by-step instructions: how to secure a façade without mistakes

Let's look at the universal installation algorithm using the example of a clip fastening (the most common option). If you have a different system, adapt the steps to suit it.

1. Remove the shipping bolts from the rear panel of the machine (if they were not removed during installation). They fix the tank and can interfere with the adjustment of the facade.
2. Attach façade to the car door and align it in the center. Use a level to avoid distortions.
3. Mark with pencil places for attaching clips on the inside of the facade. Usually these are 4 points: top, bottom and sides.
4. Secure the clips on the facade using self-tapping screws (included). Do not overtighten - the plastic may burst.
5. Put the façade on the hooks machine body. Start with the top fasteners, then snap the bottom ones into place.
6. Adjust the gaps using hinge screws (if any). The optimal gap is 2–3 mm around the perimeter.

For machines with hidden control panel (for example, Bosch Serie 6) after fixing the facade you will need to configure opening sensor. To do this:

1. Put the machine into diagnostic mode (usually hold down the Start 5 seconds).
2. Select an item Door Adjustment (name may vary).
3. Follow the instructions on the display to open and close the door until calibration.

Common mistakes and how to avoid them

Even experienced craftsmen sometimes make mistakes when attaching the facade. Here are the most common ones and ways to prevent them:

Pay special attention machines with function "HalfLoad" (for example, Siemens SN658). If the dishes are unevenly distributed, vibrations increase, and weak fasteners may not withstand the load. In such cases it is recommended to use additional shock absorbers (for example, Hafele 565.61.900).
