My Summer Car - this is not just an assembly simulator Satsuma, but a whole life with its everyday problems, including the search tires takes pride of place. Beginners often waste hours trying to find the right tires, but experienced players know that MSC not only buys tires, but also stolen, found in landfills and even made from scrap materials. In this guide, we will look at all the legal (and not so legal) ways to get wheels for your car, compare prices and reveal secrets that even Finnish streamers are silent about.

It is important to understand: there are several types of tires in the game - summer, winter, studded and even sports (for tuning). Each type affects handling Satsuma in different conditions: winter tires glide on ice, but are useless in the summer, and summer tires turn the car into an uncontrollable boat in the snow. Therefore, before purchasing, decide what they are needed for: Teuro’s Rally, normal driving or just to avoid driving on bare rims.

1. Official stores: where to buy tires for money

The most honest way is to buy tires at specialized points. MSC sells them in three places, and each has its pros and cons. The main advantage is guaranteed quality and no risk of being caught by the police (as opposed to theft). Minus - the prices are steep, especially if you have just started the game and have not yet earned money Ferndale’s Jobs.

All stores are open according to hours: from 9:00 to 17:00 on weekdays. Doors will be closed on weekends and at night, so plan ahead to purchase. Please also note that for payment you will need cash - MSC cards have not yet been invented.

  • 🏪 Teimo’s Store (Teimo store) is the closest to the starting point. Sells summer and winter tires at average prices. You can also buy here cameras and disks, if yours have become unusable after another collision with a moose.
  • 🚗 Fleetari’s Repair Shop (Fletari workshop) - offers tires and tire installation services. Prices are higher than Teimo, but here you can immediately balance the wheels and check the wheel alignment.
  • 🏢 Peräjärvi Shop (store in Perijärvi) - the farthest, but with the widest range. There's even sports tires for tuning and rare models for HK or Gifu.

2. Tire prices: comparison table

The cost of tires at MSC depends on the type, brand and location of purchase. Below is the current price table (at the time of the last game update 1.6.3). Please note that prices may vary slightly due to inflation in the game or random discounts from Teimo.

Tire type Teimo’s Store Fleetari’s Shop Peräjärvi Shop Notes
Summer (standard) 1200 mk 1400 mk 1100 mk Suitable for normal driving
Winter (studless) 1500 mk 1700 mk 1400 mk Slide on ice, but better than summer ones
Winter (studded) 2200 mk 2000 mk Best choice for Teuro’s Rally
Sports (slicks) 2800 mk Only for tuning, wear out quickly
Used tires (from a landfill) 500–800 mk You can sell Fletari after repair

⚠️ Attention: If you buy tires from Fletari, he can offer installation for 200 mk. It is not profitable to refuse - independent replacement takes a lot of time and requires tools (jack, wheel wrench).

3. Junkyard: where to find tires for free (or almost free)

For those who do not want to spend earned marks, MSC has an alternative method - landfill (Junkyard). Here you can find used tires, wheels and even complete wheels. The main plus is free (except for gas for the road). Cons: poor quality, risk of puncture and need for repairs.

The landfill is located north of Teimo’s Store, next to father's house. To get there you need:

  1. Get into the car (it’s better not to Satsuma - risk of getting stuck).
  2. Follow the main road north, then turn left onto the dirt road.
  3. Drive by abandoned house and hangar — the dump will be on the right.

At a landfill, tires are found in three places:

  • 🗑️ A pile of tires next to disassembled tractor - usually 2-3 pieces.
  • 🚗 Back broken car (sometimes there is only one whole wheel left there).
  • 🏗️ Rack with spare parts - there may be tires in better condition here.
💡

If the junkyard doesn't have tires, try save and reload the game — item locations are updated randomly.

⚠️ Attention: Tires from a junkyard often have damage (holes, cuts). Before installation, inspect them in your inventory - if the condition "Poor", it’s better to take Fletari for repairs (cost ~300 mk per piece).

4. Tire theft: risks and how to minimize them

At MSC you can steal tires from other people's cars - this is a quick way to get tires, but it is fraught with consequences. If you are caught by the owner or the police (Poliisi), you will have to pay a fine (500–1500 mk) or go to jail for several game days.

Where experienced players steal tires:

  • 🚜 Tractor at father's house - usually stands unattended, but the owner can leave at any time.
  • 🚗 Cars at the Teimo store — there are a lot of cars here, but there is a high risk of being noticed.
  • 🏠 Neighbor's car (Jokke) — if he is sleeping or at work, you can safely remove the wheels.

To steal tires:

  1. Approach the car with wheel wrench in inventory.
  2. Click RMB on the wheel and select "Steal Tire".
  3. If no one is nearby, the wheel will be in your inventory.

☑️Preparing for tire theft

Done: 0 / 4

⚠️ Attention: If you steal all four wheels from one car, it will disappear in a few game days. Also note that Jokke may haunt you with with a gun, if he notices the theft!

5. Homemade tires: how to make wheels from scrap materials

At MSC you can create your own tires from tires and tubes. This method is cheaper than buying new tires, but requires time and resources. For crafting you will need:

  • 🔧 Tire (can be found at the junkyard or bought from Fletari for 300 mk).
  • 🎈 Camera (sold by Teimo for 150 mk).
  • 🔨 Glue (needed for gluing, worth 50 mk in the store).

Manufacturing process:

  1. Place the tire and tube on workbench in the garage.
  2. Select an option "Combine".
  3. Add glue and wait for the process to complete (~5 minutes of game time).

The finished tire will have the condition "Used", but will last longer than a used one from a landfill. This method is especially useful for Teuro’s Rallywhere tires wear out quickly.

Secret recipe

If you add to the process rubber glue (sold in Peräjärvi for 200 mk), the tire will receive the condition "Good" and will last 30% longer!

6. Hidden places: where to look for tires in unexpected locations

Besides shops and a dump, MSC has several secret placeswhere you can find tires. These locations are not known to all players, so the rubber is often not touched here.

Where to look:

  • 🏡 Father's house basement - sometimes there is an old wheel from Moskvitch.
  • 🌲 forest hut (next to Kilju) - there may be a tire lying around in the barn.
  • 🚢 Port in Perijärvi — tires sometimes appear near the pier (perhaps they are brought by ferry).
  • 🏗️ House under construction (next to Fleetari’s Shop) - building materials and spare parts, including wheels, can be found here.

These tires are usually in poor condition, but can be repaired or used for crafting. The main thing is check locations regularly, since items respawn every few in-game days.

7. How to extend the life of tires: care tips

In MSC, tires wear out from driving, collisions and time. To avoid spending money on new ones every week, follow these tips:

  • 🛣️ Avoid off-road driving — gravel and bumps accelerate wear.
  • ❄️ Change your tires according to the season — summer tires wear out 2 times faster on snow.
  • 🔧 Check your pressure - low pressure increases fuel consumption and wear.
  • 🚗 Don't overload the machineSatsuma and so it barely moves, and with the load the wheels suffer even more.

If a tire breaks, do not rush to throw it away. At Fletari you can fix a hole for 100 mk, and if the state "Poor", he will offer change shoes (cost ~500 mk per wheel).

💡

Winter tires at MSC wear out even when the car is parked in the cold! If you leave the car for a long time, remove the wheels or put them on stands.

FAQ: Frequently asked questions about tires in My Summer Car

Is it possible to drive without tires, on just rims?

Technically yes, but it is highly discouraged. Speed will drop to 20 km/h, control will become unpredictable, and the disks will quickly break. In addition, the police may fine you for "faulty vehicle".

How quickly do MSC tires wear out?

Service life depends on driving style:

  • Careful driving on asphalt - 10–15 game days.
  • Rally or off-road - 3–5 days.
  • Driving on a flat tire - 1–2 days.

The status can be checked in the inventory (hover the cursor over the wheel).

Where is the cheapest place to buy tires?

Peräjärvi Shop offers the best prices, but it's a long way to get there. If you consider gasoline, then sometimes it is more profitable to buy from Teimo. You can also save money by buying used tires from Fletari and having them repaired.

What happens if you drive on winter tires in the summer?

The car will brake worse, and the tires will wear out 1.5 times faster. Moreover, on wet asphalt Satsuma will begin to hydroplane even at low speed.

Is it possible to sell tires back to the store?

Yes, but only in Fleetari’s Shop. The price will be 2-3 times lower than the purchase price. For example, a summer tire purchased for 1200 mk will be accepted back for 400–500 mk. There will be no ransom in Teimo or in Perijärvi.
